Our trip starts with a spectacular flight across the Himalaya from Kathmandu to Lhasa. You will see Mt Everest and a long range of the Himalayas from the flight. In Lhasa we visit the holiest of Tibetan Temple Jokhang and the nearby traditional market place of Bharkhor bazzar. Watching the Tibetan pilgrims who come to this temple from all over Tibet is a great experience and gives an insight on the religious Tibetan life. Our tour also covers the famous Potala and Norbulingka Palace of the Dalai Lamas and important Gelugpa monasteries of Drepung and Sera where there used to be up to 10,000 monks in the days gone. Diffculties and Safety
Tour in Lhasa is a medium thing with some of small uphill and downhill. Average fitness is required not to be in the pain. Make sure you have an average walking experience to enjoy the tour. Altitude will not be the major problem still drinking lots of fluids and going slowly is important to avoid altitude sickness. Your safety is of our major concern.
Your Tour guide has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Morning you will fly for about an hour over the panoramic Himalayan Ranges to the capital of Tibet. “Lhasa”. Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650 Mt, is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means “Place of the Gods”, the residence of the Dalai Lama., on arrival you will be met by the local representative and transferred to your respective hotel. (60 km/1hr). After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, and & Norbulinka. Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning ‘Treasure Park’ covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet. After breakfast full day sightseeing of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Monastery, Barkhor Market. Sera Monastery, 5 Kms north of Lhasa, Sera setting is one of Lhasa’s prettiest monasteries. Once a community of more than 5,000 monks resided here and was virtually extinguished by the Chinese. Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, it houses Tibet’s most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Drive to Ganden Monastery, Ganden Monastery or Ganden Namgyeling is one of the “great three” Gelug university monasteries of Tibet, China. It is in Dagzê County, Lhasa. The other two are Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. Afternoon free for shopping Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.

We will provide accommodations in Kathmandu and Lhasa on your choice. All the accommodation in the city and tour will provided on twin sharing basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost extra.
During Tibet cultural tour, we can enjoy Tibetan food, vegetables and beverages as well the more common international cuisine (Continental, Tibetan, Italian, Indian etc.). Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be served during tour, only breakfast include at Kathmandu Hotel.

With an average temperature, visitors can enjoy most warm days and cool nights during the year. In summer everything looks perfect. Trees turn green and flowers begin blooming. Meanwhile, oxygen level in summer is twice higher than in winter.
