Panchase Village Trek
Panchase Village is a land of culture and biodiversity. This is a panoramic trek to beyond Phewa Lake in Pokhara. Panchase village trek is off the beaten path and it is unlikely that you will meet many other trekkers here, and this trek is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. This trek is also a great extension to any of our tours of Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan.
The Panchase village trek is an ideal way to explore the area around Pokhara for those short on time or relatively new to trekking, without missing out on the amazing views over the surrounding mountains or the experience of village life! Your trek starts in style with a gentle boat trip across Lake Phewa to take you to the start point, where a short climb will be rewarded with stunning views out across the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhare (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri and Manaslu, which will form the backdrop to much of the trek. The trail will take you up to the World Peace Pagoda, through the forest where you can see the flora and fauna of Nepal and past a number of villages where you can experience the daily lives of the some ethnic mixes, such as Brahmin, Magar and Gurung.
It takes you up to an elevation of 2500m on the summit of Panchase hill, Where you can see a stunning sunrise over the snowy Himalayan peaks.

however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The Guide will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

We will pick up you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free time to explore Thamel. (Overnight at hotel on BB basis).

After breakfast we start our journey to Pokhara (your guide will be with for your whole trip). You can enjoy the scenery while driving on road following the Trisuli River where you might see people doing rafting. After around 6-7 hours (200km) drive you will reach beautiful and peaceful town Pokhara. Or you may take a 30 min flight to Pokhara enjoying the non-stop mountain scenery and valleys. A city with a large lake that offers us the magnificent views of various mountains. Dhaulagiri, the whole Annapurna range, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) amongst others. You will get another chance to do some last minute shopping for the trek and explore around the lake and town. (Overnight at hotel on BB basis).

A short boat trip across the beautiful Phewa Lake is our trek start point. The first part of this trek will take us to the World Peace Pagoda through the forest. The Pagoda is one of the famous Buddhist stupa , as well being an impressive sight in itself. This place offers a stunning views over mountains, Phewa Lake and the city below. Continuing walk to down in small trails will take us a road where we will ride an open jeep, that takes through the village of Lukum Swara. The final climb of today takes you up to Bumdi village, home to Gurung and Brahman people,where you will spend the night and can learn more about these cultures.

The track continues through beautiful forest where you can see mountains regularly peeking out between the trees. Walking some more will take you at Thulunchour, you then continue under the cover of the forest until the path joins a dirt road, from which you can see panoramic views of the mountains including the Annapurnas, Lamjung, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail) including 3 peaks over 8,000m: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manalsu, in the distance. Overnight in the village similar to last night.

We will be in the highest point of this trek today. After climbing the stone steps in the morning we reach at the place called Panchase ( 2500m.) we can see stunning views over the mountains, and there is the option of getting up extra early to ascend to this point in time for sunrise. After you descend down the far side of the hill to Alldanda. We continue a gentle walk down to your campsite, situated just above the town of Bhadaure where you can experience a mix of cultures as there are a ange of residents including Gurung, Kami and Brahman.

Starts walk with a descent down the stone steps to the town of Bhadaure, where you will get the chance to interact with locals and children will ask for chocolate! On reaching Naudanda the trail will rejoin the highway and your car will be waiting to pick you up and drive you back to the quiet city of Pokhara by your lunch time on ‘Lakeside’.

Back to Kathmandu, you can take a fight or take a drive( Private Car/Tourist bus) back to Kathmandu. After check in to the hotel, free evening you can take a short walk around Thamel and last minutes shopping. Spend a relaxing last night in Nepal.

Accommodation & Food details
We will provide tourist standard accommodations in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and this is possible to upgrade in your choice. All the accommodation in the cities and trekking will provided on twin sharing basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost extra.
During Panchase Trek, we can enjoy authentic Nepalese food as well the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). 3 meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available while in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Best Time To Visit
Autumn (Sept to Nov) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Panchase Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some alone time with nature then taking this trip during winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) could also be an another great option.
However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests. Trekking in the Summer or Monsoon seasons (June to Aug) will be affected by rain but the Summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist.

Adjustments to the list can be managed according to our requirements, interests, duration of trip, and season of trip. We can find variety of these gears to hire or buy in Kathmandu.
Majority of the gears which are in sale in Kathmandu are locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper) and some gears found here are imported from China and are obviously of better quality. We can find very high quality branded gears too in some famous stores in Kathmandu.
