Seti River Rafting
The Seti river rafting is considered the best river rafting for people to first experience the thrills of rafting or kayaking. For most of the year it is a gentle river, attracting families and bird watchers with its gentle rapids. It is classed from 2 to 3+ depending on the season. If you are more experienced and would like a tougher challenge why not try it out in monsoon season where the water levels are considerably higher.
This surprisingly warm river passes through beautiful scenery with large green hills and valleys all around. That is the another reason why tourist love to come Nepal.
Nature lovers will enjoy the abundance of different bird species you will see as you travel along the waters of the Seti.
For those wanting a family rafting trip or who are new to the activity the Seti is perfect. It offers the excitement of the rapids without the intensity of complex or challenging rapids.
Diffculties and Safety
Rafting in Seti river is not an easy thing with lots of rapids. Average fitness is required not to be in the pain make sure you have enough experience to enjoy the rafting.
Your safety is one of our major concern. Your guide has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Since this adventure entails Rafting in the river, we will have safty kayakers as well. The Guide will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

The first day of rafting we drive to Damauli, our rafting starting point after breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara. Today we do only a short rafting trip about 2-3 hours. Camping in good located river bank.

After breakfast in the camp we go down along the Seti river through corridor of jungle nears the riverbank. 4-5 hours rafting take us to Gaighat; where we end the raft, have lunch there in a hotel and drive back to Kathmandu or visit Chitwan National Park or drive to Pokhara.

Accommodation & Food details
We will provide tourist standard accommodations in Kathmandu and this is possible to upgrade in your choice. All the accommodation in the cities and trekking will provided on twin sharing basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost extra.
During Seti River Rafting, we will provide tents accomodation and authentic Nepalese food (Dal Bhat) as well the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). 3 main course meals will be provided during rafting and only breakfast is included while you are in Kathmandu and.
Best Time To Visit
Autumn (Sept to Nov) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons to do Seti River Rafting. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views.
However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests and there chance to get wet with cold water. Rafting in the Summer or Monsoon seasons (June to Aug) will be affected by rain but the Summer rafting could be a boon for a keen botanist.

We can find variety of these gears to hire or buy in Kathmandu. Majority of the gears which are in sale in Kathmandu are locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper) and can find very high quality branded gears too in some famous stores in Kathmandu.
