Founded by Saligram Aryal, Mountain World Treks started with his early years as a porter in the mountains. He began carrying loads in 1996, long before he led a group of his own. By 2002, he had earned his guide’s license and spent the following years guiding trekkers across Nepal before starting his own company.
The way we work today comes from those years on the trail: pay guides and porters fairly, treat them with respect, and never send a trekker into the mountains unprepared. Saligram still follows those principles and has passed them on to the guides he has trained over the years.
