After breakfast we continue along the banks of the Dudh Koshi crossing the suspension bridges laden with prayer flags, we reach a place called Manjo, from where starts Sagarmartha National Park. After entering the national park the trail goes steeply up, with breathtaking views for more than 2 hours to reach Namche Bazzar. It is a beautiful walk through the Rhododendron and pine forest. The trek starts with a tough climbing on the hill for around ten minutes but then flattens out and jig jags through the small pine forest. There is more chance to see the mountain goats and himalayan pheasant (called Munal in Nepali), which is the national bird of Nepal. At the same time, you can enjoy the sight of some of the world highest, and most beautiful mountains. It really is a sight to behold. We continue walking to follow the trail as it winds its way up and down towards Tengboche. Tengboche where is the oldest local Buddhiest monastery is situated. The trail continues to rise, we cross the Khumbu Glacier and pass by many stone memorials for climbers who died on Everest. From where you will see another new mountain called Pumori, it is just stunning. We continue our trek to reach Labuche. You might feel it is more difficult to breathe and a headche may arise today due to the altitude. This is very common and is usually nothing to worry about. We suggest you do listen to your body however, and if you think it best to go down, that’s what we will do. (Over night at tea house on full board basis).
